Question: Can I learn to speak to increase my business?

Answer: Giving a workshop or a keynote about what you do - or around a topic about your business, can build your credibility.  It will position you as an expert in your field.

Speaking is not a difficult thing to do if you have a format to follow.  In fact it can be quite easy - if you already have a good knowledge about what you are speaking about.

I never suggest 'writing' your entire keynote or address out long hand.  Instead, talk about what you know and just have a logical order to it - making points you can refer to.

Please take a look under articles for the article entitiled "Creating a keynote to position yourself as an expert"

Question: Get Organized!

Answer: Many businesses end up closing their doors becasue things that fall through the cracks - or a business owner just gets bogged down with disorganized paper work that causes confusion and wastes time.

Getting and staying organized can be easy if you just take the time ONCE to set things up right.  Make sure your desk feels good and that yu like to work at it.  Have lots of filing space and keep your desk clear.  That way you will be happy to sit down and do paperwork when it needs to be done.

A cluttered space leads to a cluttered mind.  Not to mention all the things you forget because they are under a pile somewhere!  SO invest in your office - it is an important part of your business.

Question:

I am wondering if the niche market I chose is the right one? It seems like everyone is marketing to this market

Answer:

Marketing to a niche market can be very effective.  You are able to concentrate your efforts in one area - and build a relationship with the market.

However, if everyone is marketing to the same niche market - now it becomes a question of how you set yourself apart in that market.  Or, do  youchoose another niche market?

Over the last several years trends and statistics report that the 'woman's market' is the market with all the money - and the buying power. It has also been reported that 80% of buying decisions are made or influenced by women.  And so everyone flocks to market to that segment.

However - there are other market segments out there that are being ignored.  We explored several ideas and niche markets with Deneen, and found one she is excited about working with.  (And no one so far is really marketing to them!)

She will be forming an alliance with another industry that also markets to this segment - and they will have a blockbuster idea they can work with!
